NeoVerse cracks the scalability problem for monocular 4D models

NeoVerse, developed by researchers at CASIA and CreateAI, addresses the scalability issue in 4D world modeling by utilizing in-the-wild monocular videos instead of expensive multi-view setups. This innovative model employs a pose-free, feed-forward 4D Gaussian Splatting reconstruction method, allowing for efficient scene reconstruction from sparse key frames. NeoVerse significantly reduces inference time to 20 seconds for an 81-frame video, while also introducing bidirectional motion modeling and online degradation simulations to enhance performance. This breakthrough democratizes access to high-fidelity digital content creation, with plans to release the source code publicly.
