On Thursday (January 8), the Magnificent 7 index of U.S. tech stocks fell by 0.35%, closing at 206.92 points, with U.S. stocks significantly declining at the start of trading, showing an overall long-tail L-shaped trend. Among the component stocks, NVIDIA fell by 2.17%, Microsoft by 1.11%, Apple and Meta by up to 0.5%, Tesla rose by 1.02%, and Google A rose by 1.07%—continuing to widen the gap in market capitalization with Apple, while Amazon rose by 1.96%. Additionally, AMD fell by 2.54%, Eli Lilly by 2.07%, TSMC by 0.21%, and Berkshire Hathaway Class B shares rose by 0.74%.
