After acquiring Bee, Amazon will upgrade its wearable AI devices
Amazon (AMZN.US) stated that after acquiring the artificial intelligence hardware startup Bee a few months ago, it is working to enhance the functionality of the $50 wearable device, which can "listen all day," making it more proactive and hinting at a larger-scale product overhaul in the future.
Bee's device can be worn on the wrist or clipped to clothing, capable of recording and transcribing users' daily activities, and using the relevant data to organize conversation highlights in the accompanying app, as well as automatically generating to-do lists.
The device does not have a display screen or built-in camera, positioning itself as "ambient AI" hardware, emphasizing operation in the background without requiring frequent user interaction. According to company information, the device can last up to a week on a single charge
