According to Science and Technology Daily, on January 10th, the new intelligent truss aquaculture platform "Zhuhai Qin," developed by the Southern Marine Science and Engineering Guangdong Laboratory (Zhuhai) in collaboration with Sun Yat-sen University, was officially launched at the Veolia shipyard. This marks a key breakthrough in the digital, intelligent, and green transformation of China's deep-sea aquaculture equipment. The platform is 110 meters long, 40 meters wide, and has a draft depth of 15 meters, enclosing over 60,000 cubic meters of water and consisting of six independent net cages. The platform adopts a semi-submersible frame structure, capable of withstanding typhoons of level 15, and is suitable for the complex sea conditions of the South China Sea. It integrates photovoltaic power generation, automatic feeding by drones, and a 5G smart control system, achieving full-process modernization of aquaculture functions such as feed storage and environmental monitoring, realizing "unmanned aquaculture and intelligent management."
