Meet Bobbi Salvör Menuez, who plays Ainsley’s roommate, Landman’s first non-binary character

The penultimate episode of the hit neo-Western series Landman aired last weekend on Paramount+, setting the show up for an exciting finale. In 2019, they announced on Instagram that they would be going by Bobbi Salvör Menuez. Menuez is trans and non-binary and uses they/them pronouns.\nThey were raised in Park Slope, Brooklyn, and lived briefly in London until their parents separated, they told LGBTQ entertainment website Autostraddle. Their mother worked in retail, and their father made furniture, but both were also creatives, per Vanity Fair.\nMenuez grew up with gay aunts and uncles – close friends rather than biological relatives. One of their close uncles lived with Aids, they told the NYC Tourism website as part of its “Trans Voices in NYC” series. In high school, Menuez co-founded an art collective called Luck You, per i-D magazine.\nWhere have you seen them before?\n\nMenuez has a wide range of films and TV shows under their belt. You may have seen them in films like Nocturnal Animals (2016), Adam (2019) and My Animal (2023). They were a writer on the 2024 film Lunacy and worked as a costume designer on 2011’s Kuichisan. They are also known for appearances in TV series like Euphoria and I Love Dick.\nIn addition, they’re a model, an artist, the editor-at-large of Purple Fashion Magazine, and co-organiser of Mother Daughter Holy Spirit, through which they raise funds for the Trans Justice Funding Project.\nThey’re married\n\nMenuez is married to artist Quori Theodor, per Vogue. The pair met through mutual friends and proposed to each other before getting married in 2024. Menuez donned a Miss Claire Sullivan piece for the ceremony, while Theodor opted for Zoe Gustavia Anna Whalen.\nThe couple are also collaborators and run a queer cooking collective called Spiral Theory Test Kitchen together, alongside fellow artist Precious Okoyomon.\n
