Kanagawa Prefectural Police stated that the suspect, named David Adam Todd, 44 years old, is a ship repairman at the U.S. Navy's Yokosuka base. He is accused of smuggling approximately 278 grams of items containing drug components, such as gummies and capsules, from the United States to Japan via the military postal system around July 26, 2025.
