DoNews Automotive reported on January 15 that according to an official sharing from Dongfeng Motor, Richard Yu, Executive Director of Huawei, Chairman of the Product Investment Review Committee, and Chairman of the Terminal BG, recently visited Dongfeng Motor. They engaged in in-depth discussions with Yang Qing, Chairman and Party Secretary of Dongfeng Motor, and Huang Yong, Member of the Party Committee and Vice General Manager, on topics such as the HarmonyOS ecosystem, AI and other cutting-edge technologies, the intelligent development of the automotive industry, and the digital upgrade of enterprises.

In May 2025, they signed a comprehensive deepening strategic cooperation agreement to carry out all-round in-depth cooperation in areas such as automotive intelligence, enterprise digitalization and intelligent upgrades, and ecological co-construction. In September, the joint innovation laboratory between Dongfeng Motor and Huawei was officially inaugurated, expanding their cooperation from a single product to full-stack technology.
