
The Philippines announced visa-free entry for Chinese citizens starting from January 16
The Philippine Department of Foreign Affairs announced on January 15 that starting from January 16, 2026, Chinese citizens can enter the Philippines visa-free for a maximum stay of 14 days. This policy applies only to tourists entering through Manila and Cebu airports, and the 14-day stay cannot be extended. The Philippine Department of Foreign Affairs stated: "This measure aligns with the President's requirements to promote trade, investment, and tourism, as well as to strengthen cultural exchanges between the two countries."
