The National Bureau of Statistics announced that in December 2025, the industrial power generation of enterprises above designated size reached 858.6 billion kilowatt-hours, an annual increase of 0.1%, indicating continued production growth; the average daily power generation was 27.7 billion kilowatt-hours. For the entire year of 2025, the industrial power generation of enterprises above designated size totaled 9.72 trillion kilowatt-hours, an annual increase of 2.2%.
By category, last month the decline in industrial thermal power narrowed, while the growth rates of hydropower, nuclear power, wind power, and solar power slowed down. Among them, industrial thermal power decreased by 3.2% year-on-year, with the decline narrowing by 1.0 percentage points month-on-month; industrial hydropower grew by 4.1%, with the growth rate slowing down by 13.0 percentage points month-on-month; industrial nuclear power grew by 3.1%, with the growth rate slowing down by 1.6 percentage points month-on-month; industrial wind power grew by 8.9%, with the growth rate slowing down by 13.1 percentage points month-on-month; industrial solar power generation grew by 18.2%, with the growth rate slowing down by 5.2 percentage points month-on-month
