Sun Yuchen offers HKD 234 million for a one-on-one conversation with Musk for 1 hour

The founder of cryptocurrency Tron, Justin Sun, recently posted on social media platform X, stating that he is willing to pay $30 million (approximately HKD 234 million) for a one-hour private conversation with Elon Musk, the founder of American electric vehicle manufacturer Tesla (TSLA.US). However, Musk has not yet responded.

This is not the first time Justin Sun has spent money to dine with celebrities; in 2019, he spent $4.56 million to have lunch with "Oracle of Omaha" Warren Buffett, during which he showcased blockchain technology to Buffett. In 2024, he also splurged $6.2 million at a Sotheby's auction to acquire the artwork "Comedian," created by renowned Italian artist Maurizio Cattelan, which features a banana taped to the wall with gray duct tape. He ate the banana on the spot, explaining that it symbolizes "value, absurdity, and attention in the modern market."
