Tianjin issues orange alert for heavy pollution weather
On January 22, the Tianjin Heavy Pollution Weather Emergency Command Office announced: According to the national and Tianjin air quality consultation results, a pollution event is expected to occur in Tianjin and surrounding cities. In accordance with regional joint prevention and control requirements and the "Tianjin Heavy Pollution Weather Emergency Plan" (Tian Zheng Ban Gui [2023] No. 9), and with the approval of the Tianjin Municipal People's Government, the Tianjin Heavy Pollution Weather Emergency Command issued an orange alert for heavy pollution weather and will initiate a Level II emergency response starting from 8 PM on January 23.
