CHERY AUTO acquires Nissan's South Africa plant

CHERY AUTO (09973.HK) has agreed to acquire the land, buildings, and related assets of Nissan Motor (7201.JP) located at the Rosslyn plant in South Africa, including a nearby factory used for producing body parts such as doors. The transaction is expected to be completed by mid this year.

Nissan Motor also announced that it has reached an agreement with CHERY AUTO but will not disclose the transaction amount
