
The Cultural and Tourism Bureau coordinates the preparatory work for the Spring Festival Golden Week visits to Hong Kong and deploys to welcome the peak of mainland tourists
The Culture, Sports and Tourism Bureau held a cross-departmental meeting today (January 23) to coordinate the preparations for receiving visitors from the mainland during the nine-day Golden Week of the Spring Festival (February 15 to 23).
The Secretary for Culture, Sports and Tourism, Kevin Yeung, stated that the nine-day Golden Week of the Spring Festival is approaching, and various festive activities will be held across Hong Kong to bring a strong New Year atmosphere to citizens and tourists. It is expected that the number of visitors to Hong Kong will significantly increase during the Golden Week, and relevant departments of the SAR government will maintain close contact with related organizations and the tourism industry to prepare and deploy in advance, creating a high-quality travel experience for visitors.
Relevant units will continue to maintain close communication before the mainland Spring Festival Golden Week, planning and advancing various preparations for different aspects of welcoming visitors to Hong Kong, and will report the latest situation to the cross-departmental working group on festive arrangements chaired by the Chief Secretary for Administration in a timely manner
