Once predicted by Tesla Inc (NASDAQ:TSLA) CEO Elon Musk to be a top-selling electric vehicle, demand for the Cybertruck has dried up in North America. After a large sales collapse in the region in 2025, Tesla began deliveries in its first international market for the vehicle.

<h2>Cybertruck Goes To The Middle East</h2>



After launching orders for the Cybertruck for the Middle East back in September, the first deliveries for the Tesla vehicle have taken place in the United Arab Emirates.



Tesla shared news of the deliveries in a social media post. The United Arab Emirates marks the newest market for the Cybertruck after previously only being available in North America.



A light and fire show in the Al Marmoom area of Dubai was used as the backdrop for the first deliveries, as reported by Teslarati.



The Cybertruck came with a price of around $110,000 for the deliveries in the region, according to the report. Deliveries totaled around 63 Cybertruck vehicles.



Tesla is currently taking orders for the Cybertruck from customers in the United Arab Emirates, Saudi Arabia, Qatar, Jordan and Israel, which could highlight which countries are next for delivery.



The Cybertruck is still not approved for sale in other markets, with Tesla facing regulatory hurdles for the Cybertruck. Several design features of the Cybertruck could make a launch in Europe less likely.



<h2>Cybertruck Demand Dries Up</h2>



Launched in North America in November 2023, Tesla had grand ambitions for the Cybertruck with more than one million reservations reported.



Tesla sold a reported 39,965 Cybertrucks in 2024. A year later, the total dropped to 20,237 units, down 48% year-over-year, according to data from Cox Automotive.



The Cybertruck fell behind the F-150 Lightning from Ford Motor Co (NYSE:F) in sales, giving the Ford EV the title of top-selling electric pickup truck.



Musk's goal of having annual production of 250,000 Cybertruck vehicles has now turned to only needing around 10% of that total to keep up with demand in North America.



While international expansion of the Cybertruck could help with sales totals, it likely won't be enough to hit the original massive projections.
