Nine regions across the country have canceled fixed time-of-use electricity pricing
Entering 2026, the domestic power industry is undergoing a significant market-oriented transformation, with "cancellation of fixed time-of-use electricity prices" becoming a hot topic in the industry. Many regions have intensively introduced policies to adjust the fixed time-of-use electricity pricing mechanism for users directly participating in electricity market transactions. Journalists have sorted through official documents and found that as of now, 11 provinces and cities across the country have issued relevant notices, mentioning that the government-approved fixed time-of-use electricity prices will no longer be implemented for market participants, with 9 regions having clearly implemented cancellation policies, while the adjustment plans for Jiangsu and Shanxi provinces are still in the consultation stage
