"Profit Alert" SITC's container volume increases, expected to earn 16%-19% more for the year
SITC (01308.HK) issued a profit warning, expecting the profit attributable to shareholders for the fiscal year 2025 to be between USD 1.2 billion and USD 1.23 billion, an increase of 16%-18.9% compared to the previous year. This is mainly due to the stable expansion of the Asian market, which has driven an increase in the group's container volume and positioned it as a high-quality service provider, resulting in higher freight rates.
During the year, the group's container volume was approximately 3.85 million TEUs, an increase of 7.8%; the average freight rate was USD 753 per TEU, an increase of 4.4%
