In Greensboro, North Carolina, on January 27, 2026, Volvo Trucks North America revealed plans to provide three zero-tailpipe-emission Volvo VNR Electric trucks to City Harvest in New York City this year. This initiative is a part of the Bronx is Breathing project aimed at minimizing noise and emissions for South Bronx communities neighboring a major freight route. The effort is supported by a substantial $10 million grant from the New York Clean Transportation Prizes program.
