The NASDAQ-100 index closed up 0.8% preliminarily, with constituents including Lam Research up 6.9%, Micron Technology up 5.4%, Western Digital up 4.8%, KLA up 4.7%, Seagate Technology up 4.6%, Adobe down 2.5%, Charter Communications down 5.5%, and Roper Technologies Inc. down 9.4%.
UnitedHealth closed down 19.6% preliminarily, Nike down 2.9%, Boeing and Home Depot down 1.4%, leading the decline among Dow components, while NVIDIA, Apple, Coca-Cola, Johnson & Johnson, Cisco, Microsoft, and Amazon all rose at least 1% to lead the gains
