MIXUE won the infringement case in Hong Kong, prohibiting six companies from using counterfeit names and requiring them to pay legal fees
MIXUE GROUP (02097.HK) has made progress in its trademark protection actions in Hong Kong. The High Court recently ruled against six companies with names highly similar to "MIXUE ICE CITY," determining that they constitute trademark infringement, and ordered the relevant companies to cease using registered names containing terms like "MIXUE ICE CITY," and to bear the legal costs of the case.
The companies involved include MIXUE ICE CITY BEVERAGE (HONG KONG) LIMITED, TIANJIN MIXUE ICE CITY FOOD CO., LTD., MIXUE ICE CITY HONG KONG STYLE BEVERAGE LIMITED, among six enterprises. The court confirmed in its ruling that the plaintiff enjoys significant goodwill associated with the "MIXUE ICE CITY" and "Mixue" trademarks, and the defendants' use of related terms as company names could lead to public confusion, mistakenly believing their business is connected to MIXUE GROUP, thereby causing commercial losses to the plaintiff
