GOAT Network Launches Bitcoin zkRollup Testnet V3

GOAT Network has announced the official launch of its GOAT BitVM2 Testnet V3. According to Foresight News, this testnet utilizes BitVM2 technology as the final adjudication layer, aiming to enable Bitcoin's participation in financial activities without relying on custodians, committees, or multi-signature trust assumptions. The core architecture employs zero-knowledge validity proofs to ensure execution correctness, anchoring sorting results on the Bitcoin mainnet, with withdrawals and disputes ultimately adjudicated by Bitcoin mainnet rules. Testnet V3 features key optimizations such as off-chain execution, Bitcoin-anchored sorting, and a Bitcoin-adjudicated withdrawal and dispute mechanism. It will later introduce BitVM2-GC to significantly reduce challenge costs, making security assumptions verifiable in practice for the first time. Additionally, GOAT Network has developed a comprehensive technology stack that includes Type-1 zkEVM, a decentralized sequencer, and its proprietary zkVM proof engine, Ziren.
