
Tesla offsets decline in vehicle sales with energy storage business, halting production of Model S and Model X to focus on humanoid robot Optimus

Tesla announced its fourth-quarter results for last year, with revenue falling 3% to $24.901 billion, and electric vehicle deliveries continuing to decline. Adjusted net profit dropped 16% to $1.761 billion, while the energy business set a record, partially offsetting the downturn in the automotive sector. Musk announced the suspension of Model S and Model X production to free up capacity for the humanoid robot Optimus production line. Automotive revenue recorded $17.693 billion, a year-on-year decrease of 10%; revenue from energy and storage businesses increased by 25%. The Robotaxi service has begun removing human supervisors, with plans to launch driverless cars in major U.S. cities by the end of the year
