The Director of the Culture, Sports and Tourism Bureau, Luo Shupei, stated during the event that last year, Hong Kong received nearly 50 million visitors, an increase of 12% year-on-year, with the number of mainland visitors reaching 38 million, up 11% year-on-year; the number of non-mainland visitors was 12.1 million, with a year-on-year increase of 15%, describing the results as very good.

She indicated that after the official launch of the airport's third runway system, the number of flights last year had returned to 81% compared to 2018-19, and it is expected to increase to 86% this year.
