Cui Dongshu, Secretary-General of the Passenger Car Association, stated that according to the data analysis organized by the Passenger Car Association and the China Charging Alliance, the total number of public charging infrastructure will reach 4.72 million by December 2025, with an increase of 92,000 public charging piles compared to the previous month, and an increase of 1.14 million compared to December last year. Currently, there are 15.38 million private charging piles, with an increase of 678,000 in December compared to the previous month; the average monthly charging for public charging piles in December is 1,923 kWh, which is a good increase compared to 1,651 kWh in December 2024
