As TGAT does not hold its own manufacturing licence in China, the company collaborates with Jiangling Motors Electric Vehicle (JMEV) for its home market, which explains the model’s name, JMEV 01, in China. The Chinese version of the car features a 320 kW all-wheel-drive system and 560 Nm of torque. With a weight of just under 1.4 tonnes, it accelerates from 0 to 100 km/h in 2.9 seconds.</p><p>According to <em>InsideEVs</em>, the European model will also feature all-wheel drive and is expected to accelerate from 0 to 100 km/h in 2.9 seconds while weighing under 1.4 tonnes. However, further performance data is not yet available, and the figures from China can only serve as a rough guide. This is because the development of the European version is being carried out independently of the Chinese project, as stated by the manufacturer. Italy has been mentioned as the production location, with a focus on ‘select European markets.’ Currently, prototypes of the European version are said to be completing the validation phase. One detail is already confirmed: production of the European SC01 will be limited to 1,000 units. Additionally, part of this small series will reportedly be reserved for motorsport.</p><div><p>The JMEV 01, already available in China, measures 4.10 x 1.83 x 1.17 metres with a wheelbase of 2.5 metres. The model features a tubular frame chassis and, with its 320 kW output (one Enpower electric motor per axle, each delivering 160 kW), supports a top speed of up to 200 km/h.
