Standard Chartered China’s Lu Jing: The Renminbi Provides a New Option for the International Monetary System
According to Shanghai Securities News, Lu Jing, President and Vice Chairman of Standard Chartered Bank (China) Limited, stated in an exclusive interview with the newspaper that the internationalization of the Renminbi is entering a 2.0 window period, transitioning from a trade settlement currency to one that also possesses financial functions such as hedging, investment, and financing. Its international status will also be significantly enhanced, providing a more diverse and stable viable option for the international monetary system
