
Thales, EDB ink pacts to bolster Singapore’s edge in deep tech, manufacturing

Thales has signed three MOUs with the Singapore Economic Development Board (EDB) to enhance capabilities in AI, cybersecurity, and advanced manufacturing. Announced at the Singapore Airshow 2026, Singapore will become a global R&D center for Thales' FlytEdge IFE platform, training 40 experts by 2030. The partnership upgrades Thales’ Cyber & Digital Manufacturing Competence Centre, integrating smart automation technologies. Additionally, Thales is launching a regulatory technology service powered by AI to ensure compliance for fintech firms. Emily Tan, Thales Singapore's CEO, emphasized the importance of EDB's support in strengthening Singapore's digital and manufacturing sectors.
