Powered by BLOOCK and Billions Network, the system aims to manage the entire aid process, from donation to disbursement, digitally. RedChain uses ERC-20 tokens on the Ethereum blockchain to replace paper vouchers and prepaid cards, allowing recipients to pay using QR codes at participating merchants via mobile wallets. Recipients' identity information and case records are stored off-chain by the Spanish Red Cross; the public blockchain is used only to verify transaction hashes, timestamps, and integrity proofs, ensuring transparency in the flow of donated funds while protecting recipient privacy.
