Art resources move south to rewrite the new landscape, JD and Tencent "cross the boundary" to open an art museum, technology empowers more possibilities

JD and Tencent plan to establish a private art museum in Shenzhen, marking the entry of internet companies into the art field. The JD Art Museum is set to open by the end of 2027, covering an area of over 10,000 square meters, focusing on the integration of technology and art. Tencent is also in the process of building an art space, with the former head of the Hong Kong Tai Kwun Arts Management participating. This move not only enhances the art ecosystem in the Greater Bay Area but also brings new opportunities to the art landscape in Hong Kong. The involvement of internet companies is expected to improve the profitability of art venues and promote the complementary development of cultural and artistic facilities
