According to data from the China Passenger Car Association, Tesla (TSLA.US) delivered 69,129 domestically produced electric vehicles in January, an increase of 9.3% compared to the same period last year, marking the third consecutive month of growth.
As for the Model 3 and Model Y vehicles delivered from the Shanghai factory during the month, including exports to Europe and other markets, they fell by 28.9% compared to December last year.
In addition, data from New Automotive shows that Tesla's electric vehicle sales in the UK last month decreased by more than 57% year-on-year, with only 647 units sold, less than half of its Chinese competitor BYD (01211.HK). The decline is significantly higher than the overall 6.4% drop in electric vehicle sales in the UK for the month
