U.S. stocks were mixed, with the Dow Jones index gaining more than 250 points on Wednesday.



Shares of Cirrus Logic, Inc. (NASDAQ:CRUS) rose sharply during Wednesday's session after the company reported better-than-expected third-quarter financial results and issued fourth-quarter sales guidance above estimates.



Cirrus Logic reported quarterly earnings of $2.97 per share which beat the analyst consensus estimate of $2.44 per share. The company reported quarterly sales of $580.620 million which beat the analyst consensus estimate of $533.890 million.



Cirrus Logic shares jumped 7.6% to $134.10 on Wednesday.
