In the first three quarters of last year, FWD Hong Kong's new business annual premium increased by over 90%

FWD Hong Kong announced that, according to the preliminary statistics for the first three quarters of the long-term insurance business from the Insurance Authority of Hong Kong, its new business first-year premiums significantly increased by 93% year-on-year, surpassing the industry average growth of 56%; the new business annualized premiums rose by 74% year-on-year, outperforming the industry average growth of 43%; FWD's business scale continues to rank among the top five pan-Asian insurance companies in Hong Kong.

Liu Zhijian, Executive Director and CEO of FWD Greater China, stated that FWD Hong Kong's performance in the first three quarters of 2025 was outstanding, with major business indicators growing significantly above the industry average, confirming the effectiveness of its customer-centric strategy and diversified sales channel model.

In the first three quarters of 2025, all distribution channels of FWD recorded double-digit or higher growth, outperforming the industry average. The annualized premiums of new business through exclusive agents increased by 52% year-on-year, exceeding the industry average growth of 27%. The annualized premiums of new business through the bancassurance channel rose by 67% year-on-year, surpassing the industry average growth of 32%. The annualized premiums of new business through the brokerage channel increased by 88% year-on-year, outperforming the industry average growth of 69%.
