Liu Deshun, Chief Engineer of the National Energy Administration and Director of the Department of Energy Conservation and Technology Equipment, stated that by 2026, the development of the new energy storage industry will be coordinated within the new power system, scientifically planning the scale and layout of new energy storage development, expanding innovative applications of new energy storage across multiple scenarios and technology routes, and promoting the transition of new energy storage development from policy guidance to market-driven. Under the new energy system, the hydrogen energy industry will be promoted in a coordinated manner, organizing and implementing pilot projects for hydrogen energy in the energy sector, promoting regional development and utilization of hydrogen energy, and facilitating comprehensive innovation and improvement of hydrogen energy technology equipment, infrastructure, market mechanisms, and management systems. Pilot projects will lead the way, orderly cultivating the development of the green fuel industry, accelerating the establishment of a green fuel certification system, and guiding the industry development led by innovation
