
SANDS CHINA LTD partners with Alipay and Macau Pass to promote the "Tap to Pay" smart consumption campaign, covering retail, dining, beauty, and more
SANDS CHINA (01928.HK) announced that it will further deepen its cooperation with Alipay and Macau Pass by launching the "Tap for Good Luck and Tap for Golden Joy" Lunar New Year themed event during the Spring Festival. Based on Alipay's "Tap" interactive technology, the event innovatively integrates check-in interactions and other rich features to attract more tourists to Macau and enjoy a one-stop smart consumption experience.
According to the introduction, the "Tap" consumption model has now been fully implemented across SANDS CHINA's resort areas, covering various consumption scenarios including retail, dining, beauty, clothing, and souvenirs. SANDS CHINA has also introduced "Tap" handheld cash register devices, allowing staff to move flexibly within the store for cash register operations, thereby improving service efficiency.
SANDS CHINA's CEO and Executive Director, Zheng Junluo, stated that the company is honored to be the first group in Macau to implement the "Tap" digital scenario. This cooperation not only creates a smarter and more convenient consumption payment experience for guests but also initiates new digital business and marketing scenarios, injecting new vitality into the construction of Macau's smart city and the high-quality development of its tourism industry.
The introduction noted that Alipay's "Tap" has been implemented in Macau for over a year, initially starting with convenient payment functions and gradually expanding to include "Tap" interactive check-ins, "Payment Equals Membership," handheld cash registers, and other diversified service scenarios. Its application scope and service depth continue to upgrade, and through "Tap" digital services, it integrates traditional fragmented cash register, membership registration, user operations, and offline activity processes, simplifying the cash register process, reducing operational costs, and effectively enhancing member retention and operational efficiency
