Feb 12 (Reuters) - Zoetis (ZTS.N) on Thursday forecast 2026 adjusted profit and revenue above Wall Street estimates, as demand across its companion-animal portfolio and resilient international markets helped offset softer trends in the United States.
Shares of the animal health company rose 4.4% in premarket trading.
Zoetis expects 2026 adjusted earnings of $7.00 to $7.10 per share, above analysts’ estimate of $6.80, according to LSEG-compiled data.
It sees revenue of $9.83 billion to $10.03 billion, with the midpoint above estimates of $9.91 billion.
Industry peer IDEXX Laboratories (IDXX.O) last week forecast 2026 revenue and profit slightly ahead of expectations.
“Investor expectations (around Zoetis) were very low heading into the update given concerns around competition,” said J.P. Morgan analyst Chris Schott, adding the forecast should alleviate some concerns around the company’s near-term growth.
Revenue at Zoetis’ companion-animal segment increased 2% to $1.60 billion, while livestock revenue rose 4% to $756 million.
The company’s adjusted profit per share of $1.48 surpassed estimates of $1.40. Revenue rose 3% to $2.39 billion, topping estimates of $2.36 billion.
