Some foreign securities firms predict that casino revenue in Macau during the New Year period is likely to match or even exceed the levels seen during last year's Golden Week, which means an average of at least MOP 1.1 billion per day.</p>
<h2>Hotel occupancy rate expected to exceed 90%</h2>
<p>According to data from booking platforms, the room rates of some hotels in Macau during the Spring Festival are more than six times higher than usual. For example, the room rate at the Grand Lisboa Hotel, operated by SJM Holdings (880), is MOP 2,305 on the first day of the Lunar New Year, and during the subsequent holiday period, it ranges from MOP 4,311 to MOP 9,190 per night, showing significant fluctuations. The highest room rate on the fourth day of the Lunar New Year exceeds MOP 9,000, which is more than six times higher than the usual rate of over MOP 1,000. Additionally, several hotels, including the Lisboa Hotel and Wynn Palace (1128), are fully booked during the New Year period.</p>
<p>Zhang Jianzhong, President of the Macau Hotel Association and Chairman of Macau China Travel Service, analyzed that this year's Spring Festival has multiple positive factors converging, including government preparations for flower float parades and other activities, which are expected to lead to hotel occupancy rates exceeding 90%, with daily entry and exit numbers expected to exceed 150,000. Ma Haowen, Vice Chairman of Shun Tak Holdings (487), which operates the Sofitel at Ponte 16, pointed out that the recent active performance of the mainland and Hong Kong stock markets has helped boost tourists' willingness to travel.</p>
<h2>Morgan Stanley: Daily gaming revenue expected to reach MOP 1.1 billion</h2>
<p>U.S. securities firm Morgan Stanley pointed out that during the five days of last year's Golden Week, Macau's average daily gaming revenue was about MOP 1.1 billion, and it is expected that this year's Lunar New Year holiday gaming revenue will be similar or even stronger. Morgan Stanley also indicated that Macau's gaming revenue is expected to grow by 13% year-on-year in February, and the EBITDA (earnings before interest, taxes, depreciation, and amortization) of Macau gaming stocks is expected to grow by 16% year-on-year in the first quarter</p>
