A light weapons firefight occurred in the southwestern sea area of Aden, Yemen

On the 17th local time, according to a report from the UK Maritime Trade Operations (UKMTO), a maritime security incident occurred approximately 70 nautical miles southwest of Aden, Yemen. The report stated that a vessel was approached by a white small boat carrying 5 people. Subsequently, there was a light weapons exchange of fire between the two parties.
