Two departments dispatched a supervisory team to Yicheng, Hubei to oversee the investigation and handling of the fireworks explosion accident

At around 2 PM on February 18, a blast accident occurred at a fireworks retail store in Zhengji Town, Yicheng City, Xiangyang, Hubei Province, resulting in 12 deaths. After the incident, the Ministry of Emergency Management continued video dispatching, requiring a scientific organization of rescue efforts, full medical treatment for the injured, verification and approval of the number of casualties, and minimizing personnel losses to the greatest extent possible. The Office of the State Council's Work Safety Committee and the Ministry of Emergency Management have dispatched a supervisory team to the scene to guide rescue operations and investigate the accident, requiring the Hubei provincial government to establish an accident investigation team for an in-depth investigation and to hold those responsible accountable in accordance with laws and regulations.
