
"Commodity" U.S. EIA crude oil inventories unexpectedly decreased by 9 million barrels last week
According to data from the U.S. Energy Information Administration (EIA), for the week ending February 13, U.S. commercial crude oil inventories (excluding stocks in the Strategic Petroleum Reserve) decreased by 9 million barrels from the previous week to 419.8 million barrels, while the market expected an increase of 2.1 million barrels.
Gasoline inventories fell by 3.2 million barrels, and distillate inventories decreased by 4.6 million barrels
