France says EU has tools to respond to Trump’s latest tariffs: FT
France's trade minister, Nicolas Forissier, stated that the EU is prepared to respond to President Trump's recent 10% global import duty. Following a U.S. Supreme Court ruling deeming many of Trump's tariffs illegal, Forissier emphasized that the EU has necessary tools, including the "trade bazooka," to counteract undue pressure. He mentioned ongoing discussions with EU counterparts and the European Commission regarding the situation. The European Parliament is set to meet to evaluate the continuation of a trade deal with the U.S.
