TXNM Energy has received approval from the Federal Energy Regulatory Commission (FERC) for its acquisition by Blackstone Infrastructure for approximately $11.5 billion. The deal, which is expected to close in the latter half of the year, has faced no opposition from antitrust officials, as indicated by the expiration of the waiting period under the Hart-Scott-Rodino Act. However, clearance from the Nuclear Regulatory Commission and the New Mexico Public Regulation Commission is still pending.
