Tencent (00700.HK) WeChat team released the 2026 Lunar New Year data report, pointing out that during this year's Spring Festival, the number of offline transactions in travel and lifestyle entertainment increased by over 20% year-on-year, with Hong Kong and Macau seeing increases of 24% and 39% respectively compared to the same period last year, becoming the top two Asian markets for overseas offline transaction volume. Malaysia and the Maldives, associated with "Ma," have become popular travel destinations for Chinese tourists, with offline transaction consumption amounts increasing by 131% and 186% year-on-year during the long holiday.

During this period, the transaction amount of mini-programs in Hong Kong also increased by over 70% year-on-year during the Spring Festival, with Heytea (overseas), Mixue Ice City (Hong Kong and Macau), and Starbucks (Hong Kong and Macau) mini-programs achieving an average daily user growth of about 40% year-on-year. The transaction volume of the Encounter Noodle HK mini-program increased by over 200%, and the number of transactions by Hong Kong users on e-commerce platforms grew nearly 4.3 times year-on-year.
