ICBC signs memorandum with Siemens to establish a strategic partnership

The Chairman of Industrial and Commercial Bank of China (ICBC) (01398.HK), Liao Lin, met with Roland Busch, Chairman of the Board, President, and CEO of Siemens, in Beijing. The two sides had in-depth discussions on topics such as deepening business cooperation and jointly playing a good role as the chair units of the China-Germany Economic Advisory Committee.

During this meeting, both parties also signed a memorandum regarding the establishment of a strategic partnership, which will integrate advantages in finance, industry, and technology to promote cooperation between the Chinese and German industries and jointly serve global clients.

ICBC and Siemens are important partners in cooperation and have already engaged in in-depth collaboration in areas such as financing, global treasury management, digitalization, and decarbonization. ICBC stated that it will leverage its global and comprehensive advantages to provide comprehensive financial solutions for Chinese and German enterprises and promote exchanges and cooperation between enterprises from both countries based on relevant mechanism platforms
