
Dataforce data: Chinese car manufacturers' market share in Europe fell in January
According to data from market research company Dataforce, Chinese automakers have faced setbacks in Europe, with BYD (01211.HK) and SAIC Motor (600104.SH) brands like MG having a hybrid vehicle market share of 15% in January, a decrease of nearly 3 percentage points compared to December last year. The market share of Chinese pure electric vehicles also saw a similar decline, dropping to 12%.
Dataforce indicated that after experiencing strong growth last year, Leapmotor (09863.HK) saw a decline in growth in January this year, and the MG brand had already shifted its sales focus to leasing and fleet business before the sales drop in January
