Singapore tops Asia-Pacific fit-out costs at US$2,029 per sq m

Singapore has the highest office fit-out costs in the Asia-Pacific region at US$2,029 per square metre, according to Knight Frank. This surpasses Tokyo's US$1,994 and Taipei's US$1,593. The high costs are attributed to elevated labour expenses, limited contractor capacity, and strict building standards. Fit-out costs in the region are projected to increase by 2% to 5% in the next year due to tight construction labour markets and rising investments in workplace upgrades, with sustainability requirements becoming standard.
