JD Industrial (07618.HK) reported an annual net profit of 2.31 billion RMB, more than doubling year-on-year, with the stock price opening up 1.4%.
In other tech stocks, Tencent (00700.HK) opened up 0.4% at HKD 504, Alibaba (09988.HK) opened up 0.5% at HKD 126.9, Meituan (03690.HK) opened flat at HKD 74.5, Baidu (09888.HK) opened flat at HKD 115.9, Kuaishou (01024.HK) opened down 0.5%, and NetEase (09999.HK) opened up 1.8%. Bilibili (09626.HK) reported a 94% increase in adjusted net profit for the last quarter of last year, with the stock price opening down 2.8%. Xindong Company (02400.HK) forecasted at least a 77% increase in net profit last year, but the stock price opened down 2.7%. In the chip sector, SMIC (00981.HK) opened up 0.2%, while Hua Hong (01347.HK) opened down 0.1%.
In the automotive sector, BYD (01211.HK) announced its second-generation blade and fast-charging technology, with the stock price opening up 0.4% at HKD 93. Xiaomi (01810.HK) opened up 0.9%. It was reported that Li Auto (02015.HK) plans to launch a dual-wheel robot in mid-year, with its stock opening down 0.2%. It is rumored that the mainland autonomous driving technology company Momenta has secretly submitted an IPO application in Hong Kong, aiming to raise at least USD 1 billion. Its peer, Pony.ai (02026.HK), opened up 3.1%.
In the financial sector, HSBC (00005.HK) and Hong Kong Exchanges and Clearing (00388.HK) opened down 0.4% and 0.1%, respectively, while AIA (01299.HK) opened up 1.1%. Prada (01913.HK) reported an annual profit of EUR 852 million, an increase of 1.6%, with the stock opening down 1.8%.
After the market close, the Hang Seng Index will change its constituent stocks. Among the "blue-chip" stocks, CATL (03750.HK) opened up 0.7%, China Molybdenum (03993.HK) opened down 0.9%, and Lao Pu Gold (06181.HK) opened flat at HKD 640, while Zhongsheng (00881.HK), which will be removed from the Hang Seng Index, opened flat at HKD 9.41
