National Development and Reform Commission: Coordinate the construction of satellite communication, navigation, and remote sensing systems, and build low-altitude infrastructure driven by scenario expansion

Chen Lei, Director of the Department of Development Strategy and Planning of the National Development and Reform Commission, stated at a press conference held by the State Council Information Office that in terms of new infrastructure, efforts will be made to strengthen overall coordination and efficient utilization, systematically layout and construct a number of strategically oriented, application-supported, and forward-looking major scientific and technological infrastructures. This includes promoting the deployment and application of 10-gigabit optical networks and the large-scale commercial use of 5G-A mobile communication networks, building a national integrated computing power network, coordinating the construction of satellite communication, navigation, and remote sensing systems, and expanding low-altitude infrastructure driven by scenario development, thereby providing solid support for industrial upgrading and digital intelligence development during the 14th Five-Year Plan and beyond.
