Iran Destroys Critical Radar Systems in Qatar and Bahrain
Iran has reportedly destroyed a significant and costly radar system, the AN/EPS-132, in Qatar, according to Jin10. This radar is crucial for the Patriot/THAAD systems, with an estimated cost exceeding $1.1 billion. Rebuilding such a radar could take between three to eight years. Additionally, another radar system, the AN/TPS-59, was destroyed in Bahrain, and its replacement might take 12 to 24 months. The construction of these radars requires a substantial amount of gallium.
