According to reports, NetEase will stop funding Mingyue Studio starting in May
According to Bloomberg News, citing informed sources, employees of Mingyue Studio, which is partially funded by NetEase (09999.HK), were notified last Friday (6th) that NetEase has decided to stop investing in the studio starting in May. A NetEase spokesperson confirmed this but did not disclose the details of the exit terms for Mingyue Studio.
In addition, according to domestic media reports, after evaluating the plan, NetEase found that to complete the new game "Gang of Dragon" that the studio is developing, an additional investment of about 7 billion yen (approximately HKD 347 million) would be required. Therefore, the company ultimately decided to withdraw funding before the game's official release
