In the automotive sector, Nio (09866.HK) recorded quarterly profits for the first time, with its stock price rising 16.1% to HKD 44.28. Leapmotor (09863.HK), Seres (09927.HK), and Changan Automobile (02333.HK) rose 4.8%, while XPeng (09868.HK) and Geely (00175.HK) rose 5.6% and 8.6%, respectively. BYD (01211.HK) rose 1.7%, while Xiaomi (01810.HK) fell 0.4%. In the autonomous driving sector, WeRide (00800.HK) and Hesai (02525.HK) rose 7.9% and 5.8%, respectively. In the battery sector, CATL (03750.HK) and Zhongxin Chuangxiang (03931.HK) rose 8.4% and 8.9%, respectively, while Zhengli New Energy (03677.HK) rose 5%.
In the OpenClaw concept sector, Tencent (00700.HK) rose 0.5% to HKD 556. Domestic media reported that Baidu (09888.HK) will launch a lobster market today, with Baidu rising 1.5%. Zhizhu (02513.HK) and MiniMax (00100.HK) fell 0.6% and 1.6%, respectively, while cloud service providers Kingsoft Cloud (03896.HK) and GDS Holdings (09698.HK) rose 4.1% and 6.9%, respectively. Server manufacturer Lenovo Group (00992.HK) rose 2.9%. In other tech stocks, Alibaba (09988.HK), JD.com (09618.HK), and Bilibili (09626.HK) rose between 0.2% and 0.4%, while Kuaishou (01024.HK) fell 0.5%, and Meituan (03690.HK) and NetEase (09999.HK) fell 2.7%.
In the chip sector, SMIC (00981.HK) and Hua Hong Semiconductor (01347.HK) rose 0.2% and 3.1%, respectively, while Tianshu Zhixin (09903.HK) fell 5.4%. In the mobile components sector, Sunny Optical (02382.HK) and BYD Electronics (00285.HK) rose 2.8% and 3%, respectively. In the wire sector, Changfei Fiber Optic Cable (06869.HK) fell 3.9%.
New energy stocks are favored, with Xinyi Solar (00968.HK), China General Nuclear Power (01816.HK), Goldwind (02208.HK), GCL-Poly Energy (03800.HK), and Flat Glass Group (06865.HK) rising between 4.3% and 5.4% Coal stocks Shenhua (01088.HK) and China Coal Energy (01898.HK) rose by 2.7% and 3.1%, respectively, while oil stock CNOOC (00883.HK) also increased by 2%. Aluminum stock Hongqiao (01378.HK) and gold stock Zhaojin (01818.HK) rose by 2.6% and 3.6%. Shipping stocks rose with the external market, with Seaspan (01308.HK) up 5.6%, and Orient Overseas (00316.HK) and COSCO Shipping Holdings (01919.HK) up 2.8% and 2.7%.
In the financial sector, HSBC (00005.HK) fell by 0.7%, while Hong Kong Exchanges and Clearing (00388.HK) and AIA (01299.HK) rose by 0.5% and 1.3%.
