Alphabet (GOOGL.US) subsidiary Google announced on Thursday that Google Maps has launched a new feature called "Ask Maps," allowing users to use the map service via voice, similar to conversing with a chatbot, without the need to manually search for specific locations.

Google stated that the new feature can respond to questions posed by users in voice or text, combining location data, user reviews, and personal usage records and preferences to provide more personalized search results. At the same time, Ask Maps will analyze data from over 300 million locations and review content from more than 500 million users to generate responses. Users no longer need to search for locations one by one or browse through reviews, theoretically allowing them to "ask any question about any place."
